Barker's Foodstore & Eatery - Auckland, is located at Ponsonby Central, overlooking the greenery of Brown Street Reserve.

Our venue is like no other, as we feature our very own Barker's of Geraldine products throughout all our food and beverages, as well as many other delicious ingredients produced in our hometown. Whether it's a traditional South Island cheese roll, a beef brisket pie or a sweet treat, our talented chefs have crafted our much-loved Barker's products into the entire menu.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, weekends 9am to 3pm.

We are on the hunt for a café all-rounder to help us with our goal of sharing our amazing food, beverages and products with the Auckland community!

About the role:

We are looking for a café all-rounder who is keen to get stuck in and be a team player in all areas of our small but funky café. Whether that be welcoming our guests, making amazing coffee and beverages, cooking brunch orders and preparing amazing cabinet food, washing dishes or interacting with our guests while they shop for their favourite products to take home, there is always plenty of variety in your day-to-day tasks!

Experience in a busy café setting is preferred, but here at Barker's we are passionate about growing our people and their skills, a can-do attitude wins every time.

This is a part-time role with 4 shifts per week, 2 days in the kitchen and 2 working with our front of house team, with potential for more days and hours arranged in advance.

A great opportunity for one person to excel in a dual role or we are open to 2 stars focussing on FOH or BOH positions.
